Avocado seed pain recipe

  • Wash and dry one avocado seed.  Grate finely and place in a glass jar.
  • Add one and a half cups of 70% isopropyl alcohol (found in most grocery or dollar stores).
  • Add one dropper full of 35% DMSO.  (optional)
  • Lid the jar and shake well. Allow to sit for 3 days shaking a few times during that time.  (This is basically the process for making an herbal tincture.)
  • After the tincturing period, strain some of the mixture into a small spray bottle using a fine mesh to capture any avocado seed pieces which might get caught in the spray mechanism.
  • Spray where directed in my office as needed to the muscles/tendons around painful joints.
  • Some people report that the spray helps pain right away.  Others indicate it takes a few days of application to feel a difference.   It probably depends on how long the area has been painful, and, whether you are able to rest the area so it can heal.
No need to refrigerate as the alcohol is a preservative.

Sinus spray

  • To 1 cup of good water add
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 drops of 35% DMSO  (or 1 drop of 70% DMSO) (optional)
  • 2-3 drops of an essential oil.  Candidates include Thyme, Thieves blend, Cypress, RespirAid  or whatever you tested for in my office.
  • Combine and pour into a nasal spray applicator.   The rest can be stored in a glass jar until a refill is needed.  It does not need to be refrigerated.

Eyedrop Preparation

If you tested for an herbal eyedrop preparation, it is made in the following way:  First, you will need a small dropper bottle (about 1 oz), a small funnel which fits in the neck of the bottle, and a shot glass with measurements on the side indicating a tablespoon measure.  Sterilize the dropper bottle by filling with boiling water (using the funnel) and inserting the dropper (squeezing to get boiling water inside of the pipette).  The small funnel is sterilized in this process.  Sterilize the shot glass measure also with boiling water.  After about 2-3 minutes, empty both the dropper bottle and the shot glass.  Fill the shot glass to the 1 tablespoon line with boiling water.  Add the herbal drops specified in my office to the shot glass. Inspect to see if any debris is in the shot glass (debris usually sinks so be careful to exclude the last few drops when filling your dropper bottle).   Pour the contents of the shot glass into the sterilized dropper bottle using the funnel. Finally, rinse the remedy from the funnel and shot glass.   Allow to cool.  Apply to the eyes as directed.  This solution is good for 3 days, after which it is discarded.  Then a new batch is made.
